A detailed survey of West Fernie is required to help guide engineers during project design and construction. Align Surveys will be doing the survey and will be on the ground starting July 6th.
If you live north of Highway 3, you may see Al Willems from Align Survey in your neighbourhood doing general surveying. If you live south of Highway 3, the survey will be more detailed and a service card will need to be completed for each property on the south side of the highway (even though some of those properties are outside Phase 1, we will need the service cards completed on all properties south of the highway).
There are links below to a newsletter overviewing the survey and project timelines, and a copy of the service card.
Align Surveys will work through the area south of Highway 3 during regular hours (8am-5pm) starting July 6th to gather the completed cards and to help residents who have missing information. This door-to-door work will begin on McDonald Avenue and move north-east toward the City of Fernie in the order listed below. It would be helpful to have someone home on your noted day who can meet with the Align Surveys employee.
- McDonald Avenue: Monday, July 6th
- Hesketh Street and Commons Street: Tuesday, July 7th
- Eckersley Street: Monday July 6th and Tuesday, July 7th
- McLeod Avenue and Mill Street: Wednesday, July 8th
- Hand Avenue, Vanderberg Lane, and Wilson Street: Thursday, July 9th
- Colclough Avenue and Riverside Road: Friday, July 10th
If you can’t meet with Align Surveys during the noted date for your street, or if you miss the Align Surveys employee, please email Al Willems at email@example.com or call 250-423-0681 to arrange an alternate time. He will do his best to accommodate special requests.
If you can’t meet with Align Surveys, and do not need help completing the Service Card, please email the completed card to Al Willems at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Someone from the design team will follow up by phone if there are any questions.
